What is Torastan

Torastan Beach, situated on the Isle of Coll in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland, is celebrated for its sweeping dunes and rugged cliffs, a serene coastal haven. The Isle itself offers pristine views of the starlit night sky.

Scott Hamilton, the founder of Torastan in 2024, has deep-rooted connections to Coll. His love of the island and the inspiration it provides, is a constant in his career; a balance of rugged forces of nature, clarity of vision, yet an overriding sense of joy and serenity in the working environment.

About Scott Hamilton

Scott Hamilton: Founder, Director, and Green Business Enthusiast

After completing his studies in Glasgow, Scott relocated to the south of England and has since worked extensively across Europe and other regions. Despite his global experiences, he remains a proud Scot. Among his commitments, Scott serves as a Global Scot through Scottish Enterprise, leveraging international connections to bolster Scottish businesses and contribute to the growth of Scotland’s economy.

Torastan Limited embodies a sense of community and a commitment to the broader ecosystem. Scott is currently working pro-bono with start-ups through the Connectd community, supports various charities locally and nationally, and coaches and mentors young professionals.

He is now furthering his studies through the Institute of Sustainability Studies, looking at Business Sustainability and how we can all contribute to a better future without compromising today.

Darren Kirkham

Darren has over 35 years of experience in the IT & Financial Services industries across a variety of senior leadership roles including Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Financial Officer, with a focus on transformation and growth. Earlier in his career Darren was also the Deal Commercial Lead for Europe Middle East and Latin America for 15 years at one of the Big 4 consultancies.

Julian Hamilton

Julian is an experienced Procurement Professional specialising in complex purchases and contracts in Technology and Technology related Services. Working in Financial Services and Pharmaceutical industries and with Global suppliers, he has built and led Global teams with annual spend over £500m. Julian has led or supported numerous large sourcing programmes, ensuring that the contracts provide a framework for successful delivery of services or products.

With a background and extensive experience in professional and executive coaching, sales performance and senior organisational advisory roles spanning more than 2 decades, Tony is focused on enabling and delivering breakthrough performance and tangible results, with highly motivated, accomplished and successful business leaders and their teams.
